The Township of Pine Community Center is seeking responsible, customer-focused Splash Pad Supervisors to oversee daily splash pad operations at the Pine Township Community Center. This role supports leadership with staffing coverage, ensures guest safety and rule compliance, and helps create a welcoming, family-friendly environment for all visitors.
Pay: $17 per hour
Hours: Part-Time Hours, Up To 28 Hours Per Week
Shift: Monday - Sunday; Variable Hours; Holidays
Anticipated Start: Mid-May 2026
Duration: Up To 16 Weeks; Summer Seasonal; Mid-May through Labor Day
Key Responsibilities
- Assists with scheduling and shift coverage for splash pad staff
- Opens and closes the splash pad area independently
- Greets guests and complete admission procedures
- Enforces splash pad rules, age participation guidelines, and park regulations
- Provides clear, professional communication with guests of all ages
- Supports birthday party logistics and special Parks & Recreation events
- Monitors the splash pad and pavilion areas for safety, cleanliness, and debris
- Responds calmly during emergency evacuations (weather or other situations)
- Completes incident reports accurately and thoroughly
- Communicates regularly with leadership regarding staffing, safety concerns, equipment issues, and supply needs
- Maintains confidentiality and professional conduct at all times
Requirements
- 18 Years old upon date of hire
- High school diploma or equivalent within 30 days of date of hire
- Prior customer service experience
- CPR and First Aid Certified (or able to obtain during orientation)
- Pool/lifeguard/swim instructor related certification, preferred
Environment & Physical Requirements
- Requires siting, standing and walking, including wet areas, working outdoors during the summer in all-weather elements, lifting up to 50 lbs
- Remains alert with frequent interruptions
