Responsibilities:

The Director has oversight of the Spiritual Care Department.  This department is responsible for the religious and spiritual needs of the patients, families and their visitors, as well as hospital staff members. The Director interacts and collaborates with leaders in the organization to plan, support and implement a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.  The Director assists with assessing the religious and spiritual needs & spiritual support needs of the client and addresses or assist in addressing these needs whenever possible.  

Qualifications:

Education and Work Experience

 

1.    Ordination in a recognized ecclesial tradition. In good standing with the ecclesial authority and in good standing with their faith organization. 
2.    Minimum 2 years in spiritual services environment (Hospital, Nursing Home, Hospice, Military Chaplaincy) and 1 year of supervisory experience.
3.    Certification through NACC, APC or other acceptable accrediting organization, or be eligible for certification; with four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) completed, preferred.
4.    Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
5.    Bachelor’s degree required.

Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options.  Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary.  A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $73,632.00 to $112,694.40 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
