Location: Jamestown, ND

Shift: Various days during the week with Sunday be a required work day

Job Schedule: Part Time

Weekly Hours: up to 24 hours

JOB SUMMARY:

The Spiritual Care Coordinator exists to bring a holistic vision to the Anne Carlsen Center in body, mind and spirit. This position provides spiritual and pastoral support for clients, their families, and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements)

Education and/or years' experience required:

  • Bachelor's degree; in religion, theology, divinity or a related field of study.
  • Completion of at least one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education from the Association of Pastoral Education or equivalent experience.
  • Chaplain's certification or have met all qualifications to obtain a chaplain certification from an administering institution (e.g., Healthcare Chaplaincy Ministry Association or the Association of Professional Chaplains).

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

  • Master's degree in religion, theology, divinity, or a related field of study
  • One year of Chaplaincy/spiritual care experience in acute care, hospice, long-term care, and/or residential care settings
  • Completion of four units of Clinical Pastoral Education form the Association of Pastoral Education
  • Experience in or willingness to specialize in pediatrics/youth along with experience or a commitment to develop skills in working with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.

Supervision of others/decision making aptitude (if applicable): This position does not have formal supervisory responsibilities. The Spiritual Care Coordinator is responsible for overseeing visiting clergy and priests, volunteers and student interns.
