Overview:

This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, at Spirit’s Defense Business Unit (“Spirit Defense”). Spirit Defense is an independent supplier to the defense and space marketplace. Through innovative engineering and rapid prototyping excellence, Spirit Defense provides the capabilities, technologies and support customers need to succeed in their missions.

Responsibilities:

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform audits of policies, processes and procedures to ensure compliance to company and industry standards (eg.AS/EN 9100 ISO 9001) as well as customer and government requirements supporting the quality mangement system
  • Serve as the liason for external audits from the Prime, Customer, FAA, DCMA, and other regulatory bodies
  • Provide technical expertise to company employees, suppliers, customers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Provide education and coaching on the Quality Management System.
  • Conduct Organizational risk assessment activites, identifying portential gaps in the quality management system
  • Report on QMS health via Executive Dashboards
  • Develop or utilize statistical process improvement methods.
  • Provide technical expertise to company employees,suppliers, customers, and regulatory agencies
  • Understand, Create, Review and Implement Root Cause Corrective Action Plans
Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access (for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship).
  • 3-5 years experience in Quality, Compliance, Quality Engineer, Management  and or equivalent role
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft products such as Power Point, Excel, and Word
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Basic Engineering Blueprint/Specification understanding
  • Experience in AS9100 or NADCAP Audits
  • Experience working across departments and/or with suppliers
  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Proficient in root cause analysis methodology
  • CATIA/VWI knowledge
  • RCCA experience
  • Experienced desired with SAP and/ or MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and team-based environment
  • Ability to prioritize requests from multiple sources and support requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree

Summary Pay Range - Mid-Level (Level 3): $73,650- $112,950

 

Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
