We are looking for a talented Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team from August through December.
Hourly Rate Range: $52.00-$65.00 per hour
Responsibilities would include:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services in individual, small group, and classroom settings.
- Address challenges related to articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language, pragmatics, and augmentative/alternative communication (AAC) when appropriate.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, therapy sessions, progress notes, Medicaid billing (when applicable), and IEP compliance in accordance with the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE), IDEA, and district policies.
- Participate in IEP meetings, reevaluations, eligibility determinations, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Provide consultation and training to school staff and families to support students' communication goals across educational settings.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist License issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
- Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Educational Specialist Certificate – School Speech and Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Pennsylvania-required clearances, including:
- Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Check (Act 34)
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151)
- FBI Criminal History Background Check (Act 114), if applicable
- Current CPR certification preferred (if required by the school district).
