JOB DESCRIPTION: Extended School Year (ESY) is a Special Education Program for students with
disabilities whose IEP team has determined that in order to prevent substantial
regression and reduce recoupment times the students require a longer year.
Services are based on individual needs to address IEP goals and objectives.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise, consult, and collaborate with Speech-Language Assistant(s), (SLPAs) as needed.
- Provide speech and language services for students on an Individualized Education Program.
- Communicate student progress based on data collected to parents/guardians and school personnel.
- Deliver effective instruction and fulfill all professional responsibilities
- Willingness to be trained in and use positive behavior support strategies.
- Complete any other duty or assignments as directed by the Director of Special Education/ESY Coordinator
