DURATION: Full or Part Time (10-month school year)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide direct speech and language therapy, inclusion and consultation services to students with speech and language services in the K-12 setting.
• Case manage students under S/L disability categories • Provide S/L services to students as a service provider, including completing speech/language portions of the IEP • Complete initial and special education reevaluations for students with S/L needs • Knowledge of special education law, IEP development, and assessment • Write IEP in its entirety using a data-driven approach to goals and service delivery • Lead and attend all IEP meetings as directed by caseload, inviting team members • Complete organizational tasks, including IEP completion, parent contacts, uploading forms, responding to feedback and corrections, and organizing special education files.
Work with a variety of technology, including special education and regular education platforms of Infinite Campus, grades, attendance, behavior referrals, Google Classroom.
• Responsible for overseeing and coordinating and scheduling speech services for students on the caseload • Communicate with the parents/guardians, special education and regular education staff on a regular basis, working collaboratively with a variety of staff • Administer, score, and interpret speech and language assessments, including adding to evaluation reports and writing a complete evaluation report for case-managed students • Knowledge of and ability to develop therapy activities aligned with goals across a variety of speech and language areas, integrating Ojibwe culture concepts and activities • Demonstrate flexibility with the daily schedule • Complete quarterly progress reports • Participate in school activities as assigned, including field trips, assemblies, powwows, student programs, and graduation ceremonies.
Directly responsible to the Director of Special Education.

QUALIFICATIONS
Wisconsin license certification speech and language clinician - ASHA CCC compensation
Must be supportive of the philosophy, concept, policy, and procedures of the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe School.
Experience working with Native American youth referred to.
Native American preference in employment.
