Specifications & National Accounts Specialist

Location: Field-based role with a strong preference for candidates located in Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, or Philadelphia) or the broader Northeast corridor
Territory Focus: Northeast United States (Columbus, OH through New England)
Travel: Up to 35% (including overnight travel)

We are looking for a strategic, relationship-driven professional to expand ARDEX specifications across national accounts and architectural partners. This role is critical to shaping product specification decisions across multi-site construction programs and high-profile projects—combining strong regional focus with national impact.

What You’ll Do

Architectural & Specification Leadership (Approx. 60–65%)

  • Lead architectural specification activity across the Northeast region (Columbus to New England)
  • Build relationships with architects, designers, and specifiers to secure ARDEX system specifications
  • Partner with regional sales teams to grow project pipeline and influence design-stage decisions

National Account Development (Approx. 35–40%)

  • Develop and expand specifications with national retail, hospitality, healthcare, and education accounts
  • Engage stakeholders such as Directors of Construction, VP Store Planning & Design, and Specification Writers
  • Manage key national relationships as the primary ARDEX liaison

Strategic Growth & Innovation

  • Support growth within Offsite / Prefab / Modular construction initiatives in the Eastern U.S.
  • Identify new business opportunities and emerging construction trends
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align on product, technical, and market strategy

Required Experience:

What you’ll bring to ARDEX

  • Experience within architectural sales or national account role is essential.
  • Familiar with architectural specifications and construction design elements is essential.
  • Experience with building products or flooring installation products is essential.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of energy and enthusiasm for the business and be customer driven and professional.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, listening and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively present in front of large groups.
  • Strong interpersonal and persuasive skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM Systems, Outlook, Teams and the Internet.

Requirements

  • Four (4) year college degree preferred or minimum competed high school diploma with relevant work experience
  • Able to travel throughout assigned territory up 35%, with overnight stays
  • Able to travel by car and by air
  • Current, valid and unexpired driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Legally permitted to work in the United States
