SSMs support the Account Managers in estimating designing and engaging in client meetings as needed. SSMs also sell specialty services to new and existing clients oversee a commercial landscape portfolio and multiple service teams train and develop individuals and provide day-to-day operational scheduling and guidance.Duties and ResponsibilitiesUnderstand client needs via regular communication with the Account ManagersManage all landscape specialty services including the coordination of all materials people equipment and subcontractors required to produce quality workInspect properties before scheduled services and prepare specific action plans for serviceMonitor all aspects of the landscape and identify any problems after installation and servicesPerform hands-on work with crews to meet work and scheduling demandsImplement and enforce BrightView policies and procedures related to proper upkeep and maintenance storage use and training required for branch equipmentWork with the Branch Manager to identify staffing needs hire new crew employees and prepare daily crew schedulesEnsure proper paperwork is completed for all personnel changes and hiresCommunicate with counsel train discipline review and develop growth plans for employeesProvide hands-on training and support of crew personnel including proper operation of equipment horticultural techniques safety and quality standardsImplement methods to improve safe workplace practices and monitor safety recordsMaintain and manage all required administrative systems including but not limited to timesheets job databases and service schedulesOrder materials as needed and monitor costs and deliveriesRequest purchase orders and use per company guidelinesAssist the Branch Manager in the performance of specialty service sales tasks as requiredEducation and ExperienceMinimum of 2-year degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience requiredMinimum of 3 years of prior customer service management and leadership experience within an organization the landscaping industry or local marketplaceAbility to obtain and maintain appropriate licenses and professional certifications for relevant service linesPhysical DemandsRequirementsConstant operation of a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator photocopier and computer printerPosition is sedentary must be able to remain in a stationary position for the majority of the timeWork EnvironmentField-based position a combination of office and customer-facing BrightView Landscapes LLC is an Equal Opportunity and E-Verify Employer.This job description is subject to change at any time.BrightView offers a suite or health wellness and financial benefits to full-time team members.
