The Specialty Equipment Technician cleans, repairs, tests, and packages high-end, specialty beverage equipment that uses the highest quality of premium coffees. All work performed will be documented and completed to meet quality assurance standards and accurate inventory control.
Job Responsibilities:
• Disassemble, inspect parts for wear, damage, and overall condition • Clean all components using appropriate methods and materials • Repair equipment as needed in accordance with factory specifications • Assemble and test equipment • Perform thorough diagnostic tests to verify equipment performance and safety standards • Ensure all rebuilt equipment meets company standards and industry regulations • Maintain accurate records of all inspections, repairs, and tests performed • Document accurate lists of parts used • Maintain inventory of parts at set par levels and tools necessary for specialty equipment refurbishing activities • Package and label equipment • Maintain a clean and organized work area • Follow all company safety practices and guidelines • Assist in the tracking and shipping of parts and equipment • Assist in equipment inventory • May be required to operate a forklift/pallet jack • Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
High school graduate or equivalent Basic electrical and plumbing experience required Must have two years of experience on refurbishment or repairing of coffee brewers or related equipment Knowledge on espresso, grinders, bean-to-cup, French Press, cold brew preferred but not required. Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of electrical systems Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as a team
