GENERAL SUMMARY:
Manages resources and delegates as appropriate to optimize achievement of unit scope and department objectives. Assists in the operations management of the unit. Promotes retention of staff through recognition and promotion of teamwork within and across shifts. Supports and encourages the professional development of operating room staff. Assures optimal patient care standards through daily interaction and role modeling. Supports and facilitates a collaborative relationship between medical staff and hospital staff to ensure that patient needs are met 24/7/365 related to equipment, supplies, and competent staff available to deliver personalized care within their specialty.
PRINCIPAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Current Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska or approved compact state of residence as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act. Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and certification in specialty preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience managing patient populations consistent with the procedural area of assignment. Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.
