Job Summary: Specialist with 5 to 7 years of experience in Java for application support roles focusing on maintaining and enhancing Java-based applications.
Job Description:
Provide expert application support for Java-based systems within the application support domain. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in Java applications to ensure high availability and performance. Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and implement improvements. Monitor application health and proactively address potential problems. Analyze logs and system metrics to diagnose and prevent recurring issues. Participate in incident management and root cause analysis to minimize downtime. Support deployment and configuration of Java applications in production and non-production environments. Document support procedures, application configurations, and technical knowledge for team use. Ensure compliance with organizational standards and best practices in application support.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Act as a technical specialist for Java application support within the application support team. Manage and resolve application incidents and service requests related to Java applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement fixes, patches, and enhancements. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on Java application support. Participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to critical production issues. Conduct impact analysis and risk assessments for changes affecting Java applications. Assist in performance tuning and optimization of Java applications to improve reliability. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to automate support tasks. Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding incident status resolution and preventive measures.
