The Department of Biomedical Engineering is seeking a Research Specialist to lead and contribute to innovative work in biomedical engineering. The role involves initiating and developing impactful research projects in various areas. Responsible for running daily tasks and assisting with the strategic goals in a biomedical engineering research lab. Effort includes conducting collaborative and independent experiments (40%), data collection and analysis (20%), manuscript preparation (10%), proposal writing (10%), maintenance of lab operation and biosafety (10%), as well as training graduate students and undergraduate students working in the lab (10%) This is a fixed-term position with an end date of 06/30/2027.

The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at Michigan State University, established in 2016, is on a trajectory of significant and sustained growth. With 19 core faculty and 22 adjunct faculty, BME is a vibrant hub of interdisciplinary interests, including bioinformatics, stem cell engineering, nano-robotics, neural engineering, and molecular imaging.
