Specialist, Graduate Recruiting
Essential Job Functions
- Coordinates with the Dean of the School of Business and the Director of the Graduate Business Programs in developing and maintaining an overall plan and strategy for student recruitment and admission.
- Develops and implements comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract qualified and diverse applicants to the STEM MBA program
- Represents the STEM MBA program at graduate school fairs, conferences, corporate events, and information sessions both locally and nationally
- Conducts individual consultations with prospective students via phone, video, email, and in-person meetings to assess fit and provide program information
- Plans and executes on-campus and virtual recruitment events, including open houses, webinars, class visits, and networking sessions
- Builds and maintains relationships with feeder organizations, including undergraduate institutions, corporations, military transition programs, and community organizations
- Reviews and evaluates STEM MBA applications holistically, assessing academic credentials, professional experience, essays, and recommendations
- Conducts admissions interviews to evaluate candidates qualifications, goals, and alignment with program values
- Makes admissions decisions in accordance with established criteria and participates in admissions committee meetings
- Counsels admitted students through the enrollment process, addressing questions about curriculum, financing, housing, and transition planning
- Develops and executes yield strategies to convert admitted students into enrolled students, including personalized outreach and engagement initiatives
- Manages assigned recruitment territory or demographic segment, tracking prospects through the recruitment funnel
- Maintains accurate records in the customer relationship management (CRM) system and generate reports on recruitment activities and outcomes
- Collaborates with financial aid office to communicate scholarship opportunities and assist students with funding questions
- Partners with marketing and communications teams to develop recruitment materials, social media content, and digital campaigns
- Other related duties, as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Psychology, or related field required
- Masters degree (MBA, M.Ed., or related graduate degree) preferred
- Knowledge of graduate business education and MBA curriculum is highly desirable
- Two (2) years' experience in admissions, enrollment management, recruitment, sales, or related field
- Experience in higher education, preferably in graduate admissions or student recruitment, strongly preferred
- Proven record of accomplishment meeting or exceeding recruitment and enrollment goals
- Proficiency with CRM systems (Slate, Salesforce, or similar platforms) and data management
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Understanding of full-cycle recruitment, sourcing strategies, and candidate assessment methods
- Familiarity with graduate programs, academic requirements, and university operations
- Understanding of employer branding, social media marketing, and outreach campaign strategies
- Awareness of employment trends for graduates and early-career professionals
- Knowledge of planning and managing job fairs, campus events, and recruitment initiatives
- Knowledge of graduate business education and MBA curriculum
- Excellent communication skills, verbal, and interpersonal
- Skilled in conducting interviews and assessing candidate fit based on qualifications and organizational culture
- Strong analytical thinking, strategic planning, and presentation development skills
- Skilled in creating recruitment materials, digital content, and social media campaigns targeting graduate talent
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members, faculty, students, alumni, administrators, staff and families
- Ability to establish and maintain partnerships with universities, professional organizations, and internal teams
- Ability to analyze recruitment metrics, generate reports, and make data-driven decisions
