As a Specialist, Credit Reporting & Analytics, you'll support Schwab Asset Management's Credit Operations team and help enable the Fixed Income Research team's work across credit policy implementation, risk parameters, and adherence to regulatory and internal guidelines for SMA strategies and Municipal Bond Fund portfolios. This role is central to maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and usability of critical credit data that informs daily monitoring, surveillance, and decision-making across a broad issuer universe. You'll work closely with portfolio management teams and credit research analysts in a highly collaborative environment, where your ability to think critically, solve problems, and adapt to changing priorities will directly support business outcomes and operational excellence. Success in this role requires strong ownership, sound judgment, and a sharp attention to detail as you reconcile data across multiple applications, monitor ratings and outlook changes, support ESG-related strategies, and help identify opportunities for AI-driven automation and innovation. You'll also contribute to documentation, training materials, and adoption efforts that help scale new capabilities and strengthen team effectiveness over time.

What you have

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1+ years of experience in the financial services industry
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and formulas
  • Experience with Bloomberg, including API and data export functionality
  • Experience with Investortools and Aladdin
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data integrity and accuracy
  • Ability to work across large datasets and multiple applications while maintaining quality and precision
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and sound decision-making in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, take initiative, and collaborate effectively across teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Gen AI tools, including Copilot, Copilot Studio, or Writer
  • Experience supporting AI-related business use cases such as testing, script writing, compliance, governance, or adoption planning
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational innovation
  • Experience creating documentation, training materials, or user guidance to support adoption and team enablement
  • Creative and continuous improvement mindset with the ability to adapt quickly to evolving business needs

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
