As an Experienced Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of diesel- and CNG-powered heavy-duty trucks. You will be the go-to technical expert for complex mechanical issues and will lead by example in maintaining high standards of safety and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in heavy-duty truck maintenance and repair
  • Proven experience working on both Diesel and CNG engines
  • CDL (Class A or B) preferred
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electronic diagnostic software
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations
  • High school diploma or GED; technical school or vocational training is a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in varying conditions

Mechanic Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, and suspension systems on diesel and CNG commercial trucks
  • Perform DOT inspections and ensure all vehicles comply with federal and state safety regulations
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and OEM software for troubleshooting
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and detailed inspections
  • Oversee junior technicians and provide technical mentorship and training
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with fleet managers and operations for scheduling and prioritization of repairs
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and OEM bulletins
