The Visually Impaired Support Assistant will provide support to a visually impaired student. This position requires someone to assist the student as a Parapro. Candidates must have an associate degree or 48 semester hours to meet required qualifications. This position involves a caseload of 1:1 with the student. Applicants must be prepared for background checks, fingerprinting, and other mandatory screenings. Candidates will need to complete state-mandated training programs. Employer verification forms must be completed for previous employers where contact with children occurred. Additional registry checks will be required as part of the application process. Compliance with educational and safety regulations is necessary for this role.
