Job Requirements.
- EducationRequirements: Bachelors degree in Special Education or related field (or equivalent)
- CertificationsRequirements: Valid Special Education certification for Texas school settings; state credentials as required by district (Legacy requirements)
- ExperienceRequirements: Minimum 1 year of Special Education teaching experience in a school environment; demonstrated IEP development and student progress tracking
- OtherRequirements: Must meet Legacy requirements; strong collaboration with general education teachers, families, and support staff; knowledge of ARD/IEP processes (including experience as an ARD Chair/liaison preferred); ability to lead inclusive education practices; provide compliance/reporting and assessment outcomes as required by school/district processes; CPR/First Aid not listedplease be prepared to meet district requirements if needed; must be able to manage day-to-day physical classroom demands as required by the role; may be required to complete background checks and meet all school employment compliance requirements

JobResponsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and update IEPs/ARD documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
- Provide specialized instruction and support for students with disabilities in a school setting, aligned to IEP goals
- Track and document student progress, maintain assessment records, and communicate outcomes to families and the instructional team
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support inclusive education and consistent service delivery
- Serve as a key liaison for ARD/IEP meetings when assigned, coordinating resources and ensuring timely compliance
