At TX-STAR Speech Language Services, we partner with school districts across Texas to support students with diverse learning needs. We are currently hiring Certified Special Education Teachers for school-based opportunities in the San Antonio area.
This role is ideal for educators who are passionate about inclusive education and want to make a meaningful impact through specialized instruction and student support.
What You’ll Do
As a Special Education Teacher, you will provide individualized instruction and collaborate with school teams to support students with a variety of learning needs.
Key responsibilities include:
Implement and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Deliver specialized instruction tailored to student needs
Adapt curriculum, materials, and teaching strategies for accessibility and inclusion
Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on data and outcomes
Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development
Utilize assistive technology and instructional supports to enhance learning
Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families
Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and contribute to goal development
Maintain accurate and compliant documentation
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field
Valid Texas Special Education teaching certification
Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education services
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Strong communication and organizational skills
Master’s degree preferred
School-based experience is a plus
