    Basic Functions:

    To plan and implement the education of students with Moderate, Severe and Multiple Disabilities.

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

    To plan Individual Education Programs (IEP) for students who have significant mental and physical disabilities.

    To implement, teach and provide physical care of students who have significant mental and physical disabilities.

    To work with general education teachers in order to foster appropriate inclusion of students in the school setting.

    To plan and implement Community Based Education as deemed appropriate.

    To supervise classroom paraprofessionals in order to provide the physical care and safety of the students.

    Excellent parent/teacher communication skills and problem solving.

    Qualifications and Education Requirements

    Minimum of Bachelors Degree

    Indiana Certification in Intense Intervention

    Work experience in a culturally diverse setting

    Strong work ethic and commitment to ongoing professional development and training

    Expertise in the following: interpersonal skills, organization and management, written and verbal communication and use of technology
