    JOB TITLE: Special Education Teacher DEPARTMENT: Education SUPERVISED BY: Director of Education/Principal

    JOB SUMMARY

    The Special Education Teacher will instruct a small caseload of students with the assistance of teaching assistants, clinical social workers, speech pathologist, occupational therapist, certified special education teacher peers and educational director. We are a small therapeutic school located in Manchester CT. The school is part of the CCGC that has been connecting with families since 1959.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    B.A. required, M.A. preferred

    LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

    The Special Education Teacher shall be certified by the Connecticut State Department of Education holding a Special Education Certificate 165 or equivalent. DSAP candidate applicants encouraged to apply.
