We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Elementary Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs in a positive, inclusive classroom environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to helping every child reach their full potential through individualized instruction, collaboration, and evidence-based practices.

Requirements:

  • Valid Wisconsin teaching license in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)

  • The District is willing to partner with candidates on exploration of licensure pathways.

  • Knowledge of IDEA and special education best practices

  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

  • Experience working with elementary-aged students with disabilities preferred

About Our District:

The North Crawford School District is a 4K-12 district of ~400 students located in the heart of the Driftless Region in southwest Wisconsin. Our schools are all housed in one large building that is nestled between rolling hills, fields, and picturesque scenery. Our access to the outdoors provides us with a hiking trail and wonderful opportunities for outdoor learning. Our staff live in our district communities of Gays Mills and Soldiers Grove, and also commute from Viroqua, Prairie Du Chien, and many other beautiful towns in the region. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal regulations

Provide differentiated instruction tailored to students' academic, social, and emotional needs

Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and families

Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals

Create a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment

Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and assistive technologies

Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate records

Support inclusion and promote positive behavior strategies
