The Get Set for Life program is seeking a dedicated and compassionate special educator to support high school students with diverse learning needs in a life skills program. The special educator provides specialized instruction designed to promote independence, functional academics, social development, and transition skills that prepare students for post-secondary education, employment, and community participation.
This educator collaborates closely with general education teachers, related service providers, families, and community partners to create meaningful learning experiences that support each students individualized goals. The teacher must:
• work collaboratively with other specialists • coordinate, train, and supervise 1:1 staff • work intensively to communicate with parents and seek their input • develop curricula that include the community and prevocational opportunities
Qualifications:
Current NH certification in Special Education A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with students, parents, and classroom teachers Team-centered work style A range of knowledge in high school content area subjects
Hours per day: 7.5 Days per week: 5 Days per year: 187
