ESY 2026 Special Education Teacher
20 positions total. Position contingent upon enrollment.
Qualifications Required:
Valid Massachusetts Teacher Certification in the respective content area of Special Education. Successful teaching experience. Experience modifying and differentiating curriculum for students within sub-separate and inclusion classes. Ability to relate and communicate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and administrators.
Teachers must commit to being present for each day of the program. See dates below for more information.
Qualifications Preferred:
Experience working in the Malden Public Schools. SEI Endorsement. License in Moderate Special Education.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan and implement ESY Curriculum for students on IEPs. Complete planning logs for each session and maintain student attendance records. Keep folders and portfolios with student work. Perform other related activities as required by the Program Coordinator. Develop Progress Reports at the end of the ESY Program.
Program Administration and Implementation
103 hours total, including the following:
Professional In-service Days: Date TBD 3 hours. 20 days, Monday-Thursday from July 1- August 1, 7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Stipend: $40 per hour. Total: $420 for 20 days. 1 in-service at 3 hours.
