Special Education Teacher

Location: Northern California

Pay Rate: Up to $70/hour

As a K-12 School-Based Special Education Teacher, Your Days Will Include:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that support students' academic, behavioral, social, and emotional growth.
• Provide specialized instruction using evidence-based strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students with disabilities.
• Adapt curriculum, instructional materials, and classroom activities to support individual learning goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to promote student success.
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings.
• Implement positive behavior supports and effective classroom management strategies.
• Create an inclusive, structured, and supportive learning environment that promotes student independence and achievement.
• Maintain compliance with IDEA, California special education regulations, and district policies.

Job Details

• Position: Contract (option to renew) in a school setting
• Hours: Full-time (Monday–Friday)
• Caseload: Elementary, Middle, and High School opportunities available
• Schedule: School hours with no nights, weekends, or holidays
