Special Education Teacher (Intervention Specialist)

Position Overview: 

• Deliver specialized instruction and intervention services to elementary students with diverse learning needs through inclusive classroom support, small-group instruction, and individualized teaching strategies.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), using student data to guide instruction and measure progress toward goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to provide academic and behavioral supports that promote student success.
• Provide targeted literacy and math interventions to help students access grade-level curriculum and achieve meaningful academic growth.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License (Mild/Moderate Educational Needs) or eligibility to obtain licensure before the start date
• Experience supporting students with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), Developmental Delays (DD), and other diverse learning needs preferred
• Knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and evidence-based instructional strategies
