Requirements / Qualifications

Education: -Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university; Masters Degree with an emphasis in special education preferred. Experience: -Three (3) years successful teaching experience working with a wide range of age groups and handicapping conditions, including emotionally disturbed students is preferred. -Knowledge of and experience with successful educational interventions for severely handicapped students desired. Credentials: -A valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential with Mild/Moderate or Mild /Moderate Support Needs and an EL authorization is required. Other Requirements: -Must be fingerprinted and a satisfactory Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigations record checks must be received by SCOE, prior to employment. -TB testing will be required upon employment. -Must pass a pre-employment physical prior to employment. -A mandatory employment disclose by all former employers for the AB2534 must be completed prior to employment.
