Special Education Teacher
Syosset Central School District
Available on August 25, 2026
The Syosset Central School District seeks a Special Education Teacher. This anticipated vacancy is a probationary appointment. The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
Hold NYSED certification in Teaching Students with Disabilities (1-6)
Severe or Multiple Disabilities Extension/Annotation preferred
Prior successful experience teaching in an integrated co-teaching setting
Experience in the delivery of specially designed instruction across all domains, including academic, communication, social and behavioral
Experience working collaboratively with related service providers and Behavior Intervention Specialist to design programs, develop curricula and behavior procedures as well as and track progress
Exemplary understanding of IEP development and implementation
Expertise in differentiation of instruction to support the success and growth of all students
