Special Education Teacher (26-27SY)

This position is for a Secondary Special Education Teacher (IDEA B) at a high school, responsible for developing and implementing IEPs, designing tailored instructional activities, and collaborating with staff, students, and families to support student growth.

• Develop and review IEPs, adapt curriculum, and ensure modifications meet student needs.
• Design instructional strategies using data and varied media, oversee aides, and employ technology.
• Manage classroom behavior, ensure safety, and support students' social, emotional, and physical development.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, participate in team meetings, and maintain records.
• Supervise a Teacher's Aide and participate in professional development.

  Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree with special education endorsements, valid certification, strong communication skills, proficiency in technology, and bilingual skills a plus. The role involves physical and safety responsibilities, with a starting salary of $63,000 plus a high-needs stipend.
