Position Overview

As a Special Education Teacher, you will provide individualized instruction, academic support, and advocacy for students across a variety of educational settings. You'll collaborate with school teams and families to help students develop the skills and confidence needed to achieve success both inside and outside the classroom.

  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Foster an inclusive, positive, and supportive learning environment

Qualifications

  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • LBS1 Endorsement required (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous school-based experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong understanding of special education practices and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Passion for helping students reach their individual goals
