The St. Francis Public School District is currently seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher at Willow Glen Primary School for the 2026-2027 school year. Willow Glen Primary School consists of students in grades K4-3 and currently has approximately 250 students.
Ideal candidates will have a desire to work in a cross-categorical, inclusive delivery model that provides for a continuum of services based on what''s most appropriate for the student''s own development, which may include a more comprehensive environment for portions of the school day. Candidates should have strategies, skills, and desire to plan specially designed instruction for a variety of disability-related needs, progress monitoring of IEP goals, as well as to collaborate with other service providers and general education teachers in order to serve students effectively. This includes ensuring students are making progress towards their individualized IEP goals and the grade level standards.
Experience with supervising Educational Assistants (Paraprofessionals), knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive communication devices, and experience working with student in 1:1; small group, and whole class settings is preferred.
Candidates must hold a Cross-Categorical Special Education (1801) or K-12 Special Education (2801) or license of equivalent value with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
