Under the direct supervision of the Director of Special Education provides assistance to teachers and support personnel in the appropriate placement of individuals with special needs. Monitors the implementation of special education services and assists in program development. Provides support to staff in the areas of curricula, teaching, methodologies, community resources, and in service training to ensure compliance with legal mandates.
Salary commensurate with experience and education. Certificated faculty members are compensated on the VTA salary scale for teachers. Faculty members receive a generous package of medical benefits, and enrollment in the California STRS retirement plan.
Full Time
7 hours per day, 5 days per week, 193 days a year
Required: Education Specialist Instruction Credential
