Job Summary

The Buckeye Union School District is accepting applications for a Special Education Program Coordinator for the 2026-2027 school year. The Special Education Program Coordinator supports students with disabilities, families, and staff by coordinating special education programs, Individualized Education Program processes, student transitions, staff training, and legal compliance. This is a Districtwide certificated management position with a 210 day work year. Salary and Additional Compensation: The Special Education Program Coordinator will be placed appropriately on the District Administrator s Salary Schedule based on qualified experience. Administrators who hold a master s degree receive a $1,000.00 annual stipend. After continued employment with the District and advancement to Step 11, certificated administrators are eligible for a 3% longevity increase after completing 6.00 semester units during the previous three year period. Benefits: The District offers medical, dental, vision, employee life insurance, and an Employee Assistance Program through California s Valued Trust. Medical plan options include Anthem Blue Cross PPO plans, Anthem Blue HPN EPO plans, and Kaiser Permanente HMO plans. Coverage is available for the employee only, the employee and one eligible dependent, or the employee and family. The District contributes up to $1,436.99 per month, or $17,243.88 per year, toward the combined cost of medical, dental, vision, and employee life insurance for full time administrators.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education and Experience: - Valid California Special Education Credential or other California credential appropriate to assignment including, but not limited to, School Psychologist Credential, etc. - A minimum of five (5) years practical public school experience in the education of individuals with exceptional needs including behavior support education and/or experience required; Team building and/or employee coaching skills highly preferred; - Minimum of three years experience working with students with Autism and related disorders in school settings. - Masters degree in psychology, education or other related fields preferred. Documents to Submit: - A completed application through EdJoin - A personal letter of interest - A current resume - The names of three professional references who can speak to your performance in previous positions - Three or more letters of recommendation - Copies of your credentials - Unofficial Transcripts
