Special Education Paraprofessional - Young Adult Program at the Pioneer Learning Center (PLC)

The Pioneer Learning Center (PLC) Young Adult Program serves transition-aged students (18 to 21 years old) as they develop independent living and work skills. The Pioneer Learning Center is a separate building in Fort Calhoun that houses both the alternative high school and young adult programs with a high teacher-to-student ratio.

Job requirements for this position include:

  • Aiding with transportation between student work sites and the PLC
  • Supporting student learning in daily living and job skills
  • Participating in regular community outings to practice learned skills

Hours are 11:00-3:30 Monday through Thursday and 9:00-1:30 on Fridays. Subject to a Veterans Preference. EOE Zone 6 Grade Post-Secondary Category Transition Specialist

Additional Information To start August 2026 for the 2026-27 school year. Preschool inservice begins 8/10/26.
