This position supports teachers by assisting with instruction, behavior management, and supervision for students, especially those with special needs.
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, NCLB compliance (60 college credits, associate’s license, or competency test), CDA within 1 year, and CPR certification.
- Preferred experience with students with special needs.
- Skills include behavior management, child guidance, instructional support, communication, confidentiality, and teamwork.
- Technology skills include basic to intermediate computer proficiency.
- Responsibilities involve assisting with instruction, monitoring student progress, supporting IEP implementation, participating in meetings, and promoting positive behavior.
- Requires effective communication, professionalism, and adherence to safety and district policies.
- No supervision of others; interacts with staff, students, and families.
