Lebanon Junction Elementary is searching for a highly motivated, positive, and dedicated team member to join our Bulldogs family. This role is vital in supporting our certified teachers to provide high-quality instruction, monitor student progress, and enhance the overall educational experience for students with special needs.

Position Details
Hours: 6.5 hours per day plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch Contract Length: 183 days per year 170 student instructional days 4 holidays 7 planning days 2 extended days
Contract Adjustments Contracted days will be prorated based on the start date.
Employment Status Full-time with benefits
Employment Type 10-month employee on the classified salary schedule.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education Must meet one of the following: 48 college semester hours An Associate's Degree OR High school diploma plus a passing score on the Paraeducator Assessment Exam.
Documentation Candidates must provide proof of educational requirements to HR upon recommendation for hire.
Compensation & Experience Credit
Salary for the 2026-2027 school year will be based on Board approved salary schedule.
2025-2026 Pay Scale Starting Pay Step 0: $15.98/hour Experienced Pay Step 10: $19.67/hour
We value experience. Previous experience working with students, intervention systems, and small-group instruction is strongly desired.
Experience Credit New employees may transfer up to 10 years of comparable full-time verified experience.
Note It is the employees responsibility to submit the BCPS Verification of Experience form to previous employers.
Payroll Note While this is an hourly position, the salary is distributed via a year-long contract over 10 months. You will receive 4 paychecks at the end of June.
