Position: Special Education Instructional Assistant, Part Time

Location: Van Derveer Elementary School

Available: September 1, 2026

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• All grant funded positions required 60 college-level credits (in education or related field).
• Minimum experience of 3 years or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to assist with instructional activities and to communicate effectively with students and school staff.
• Knowledge of diverse needs of children with disabilities and appropriate special education classroom practices.
• Required criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or resident alien status.

Salary: Placement on the salary guide is as per the Instructional Assistant Salary Guide for 2026-2027 within the SEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Benefits: In accordance with the SEA collective bargaining agreement, benefits are available with effective date dependent on the date of employment.
