We have an opening for a 1:1 Special Education Aide position available at Cedar Hills Elementary School.
Hours:
8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. (1/2 hours unpaid lunch)
Summary:
The Special Education Aide provides support to students with special needs to help them access and participate fully in the school environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide academic, behavioral, and/or physical support to the students throughout the school day.
Assist the students in following classroom routines and completing assignments under the direction of the classroom teacher or special education staff.
Support the students in developing independence, communication, and social skills.
Implement accommodations, modifications, and behavior support plans as directed by certified staff.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with students and staff.
Monitor and record student progress and share observations with the supervising teacher.
Assists students with toileting needs (an additional $1.50 per hour will be provided for performing this duty).
This is a 5.5 hour a day position with a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch.
