Position Overview

The Special Services Coordinator oversees and coordinates programs and support services for students with special learning needs. This role involves overseeing special ed teachers and contracted service providers, scheduling services, maintaining records, communicating with stakeholders, monitoring compliance with applicable regulations and policies, and collaborating with internal and external partners. The coordinator serves as a key point of contact, providing administrative support, resolving service-related issues, and helping to ensure high-quality service delivery. They are also a key member of the Leadership Team.

Qualifications

  • Valid teaching certification - ideally 4+ years of classroom experience
  • Valid special ed certification
  • Master's degree in Special Education or related field - preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Spec Ed regs and laws
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Excellent communication, organization, time-management, and leadership skills
