POSITION: Case Manager/Special Education Teacher

DISTRICT: Hollis School District

BUILDING: Hollis Upper Elementary School

SALARY: Competitive Salary based on degree and experience

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

HUES is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Special Education Teacher to lead an elementary-level Emotional/Behavioral Program for the 2026-2027 School Year. This role is responsible for providing specialized instruction and behavioral support to students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs. The ideal candidate will create a structured, supportive classroom environment that promotes academic growth, self-regulation, and positive social interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement individualized instruction aligned with students' IEP goals
  • Write IEP goals and Progress Notes for individual students.
  • Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions and supports
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
  • Collect and analyze student data to monitor progress and inform instruction
  • Support students in developing coping strategies, social skills, and emotional regulation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decisions
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree or higher; NH State Certification in General Special Ed (1900) required; EBD certification preferred; Applicant must be able to pass a State and Federal Criminal Background check;

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students with emotional and behavioral challenges preferred
  • Strong understanding of behavior management strategies and trauma-informed practices
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
