Special Education Behavior Intervention Teacher
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree;
- Valid Texas Teacher Certification or an Alternative Certification Program (ACP)
- Eligibility Letter in the following: Special Education (Must have passed the Special Education exam from the ACP Program to qualify)
Preferred:
- Bilingual Certificate or must become Bilingual certified within the current school year;
- General knowledge of curriculum & instruction;
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior; and
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
The role of the Special Education Behavior Intervention Teacher is to provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
