Wareham Public Schools is seeking a full-time special education administrative assistant. This position is funded through the local budget and paid in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. This is a full-time calendar year position.
The duties of this position include:
- Handle all clerical work for the team chairperson
- Organize the scheduling and documentation for annual and three year IEP reviews
- Mail out meeting notices
- Make changes in IEP's and amendments as needed
- Schedule all manifestation determination meetings
- Schedule all progress meetings as needed
- Schedule all localization meetings as needed for new students
- Schedule all new referrals for initial eligibility meetings
- Maintain all active and inactive special education files
- Maintain office supplies
- Create supply order requisitions as needed
Additional Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Computer responsibilities - reports, mailings, etc.
- Copying necessary items
- Answering telephone
- Coverage of other administrative assistant positions within the building as needed
- Other duties as assigned by the Principals or Director of Student Services
