Role Overview / Purpose and Scope 

We are looking for a detail-oriented and data-driven SPC Technician to join our team in ensuring consistent product quality and process efficiency in our poultry processing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting production data to support our quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts. 

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of statistical process control principles, is comfortable working in a fast-paced, multicultural production environment, and thrives on identifying trends and solving problems. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Collect and record process data at critical control points throughout production, such as weights, temperatures, yields, and moisture content. 

  • Monitor trends using SPC tools, including control charts, histograms, and run charts. 

  • Identify out-of-specification or out-of-control conditions and escalate issues promptly to QA or operations management. 

  • Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for quality deviations. 

  • Work closely with production and QA teams to support data-driven decision-making. 

  • Perform audits and inspections to ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, and company policies. 

  • Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date records of data, charts, and reports. 

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives. 

  • Assist with training production personnel on quality and SPC concepts as needed. 

 

Compensation 

Compensation Range: $18.25 an hour 

The posted compensation range for this role should reflect the minimum and maximum amount Farmer Focus in good faith expects to pay at the time of posting, based on factors such as internal equity, relevant experience, market data, and the budgeted amount available for the position.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Travel 

Work is conducted primarily in a manufacturing, poultry production, and Live Receiving environment. This role requires access to the production environment and may require working with or near live poultry and poultry processing operations. The team member must be able to tolerate varying heat, wet, and chill conditions within the plant. Hearing and eye protective equipment are  in the production area. Hair and beard nets are  in the production area. Additional personal protective equipment may be  based on task, location, and safety requirements. This position may require standing for long periods, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, working near production equipment, assisting in various department positions, and occasionally lifting up to 70 pounds. The role may also require working in a fast-paced environment where priorities and production needs can change quickly.
