Hotel: Legacy Te Waonui Hotel Franz Josef

Location: West Coast - 3 Wallace Street, Franz Josef

Employment Type: Full-time, permanent position

Hours of Work: Guaranteed 30 hours per week, on a rotating roster, including weekends.

Pay Rate: $32.00 - $34.00

We are looking for a Spa Manager to join Amaia Spa at our Legacy Te Waonui Hotel, based on the West Coast!

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop the spa team to deliver consistent service and a positive culture
  • Oversee recruitment, training, performance and daily team operations
  • Deliver high-quality treatments and ensure an exceptional, personalised guest experience
  • Manage bookings and therapist productivity to maximise guest satisfaction
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve concerns professionally
  • Oversee daily spa operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and presentation
  • Work closely with hotel teams to deliver a seamless guest experience
  • Prepare and manage rosters in line with business demand and monitor labour costs
  • Drive revenue through treatment sales, retail and promotions
  • Support upselling and product knowledge within the team
  • Manage stock levels, ordering, stocktakes and supplier relationships
  • Maintain accurate records, reporting and documentation
  • Ensure health, safety and hygiene standards are consistently met
  • Build strong relationships across the hotel and contribute to continuous improvement and business growth

Skills, Experience & Qualifications Preferred

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a supervisory or management role within a spa, wellness, or hospitality environment.
  • A relevant qualification in Massage Therapy (or similar) preferred.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
