The Salmonberry restaurant is located waterfront in scenic Wheeler, Oregon on the Nehalem River in Tillamook County, on the North Oregon Coast.
The Salmonberry focuses on wood fired pizza, shellfish, seafood, vegetables, and salads showcasing the ingredients of a tight community of local farmers and caretakers of a diverse flora and fauna.
We are seeking:
- A Seasonal Sous Chef ~ Kitchen Lead
Experienced at:
- Escailler, Friturier et Grillardin Station
Term of Employment:
- Memorial Day - Labor Day 2026 with a 2 week trial period of employment prior
Compensation:
- $20-25 per hour base wage d.o.e. ~ With additional pooled crew tips ranging between $9-19 an hour
Housing:
- A private riverfront studio apartment is available and tied directly to your term of employment at a below market rate
Shift & Hours:
Required Skills:
- Proven track record of kitchen and crew leadership
- Your own knives, kit, appropriate kitchen footwear, aprons, and accoutrement of a kitchen professional
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Sense of urgency while at work
- Team player - Leave your ego at the door
- The drive to get better everyday
- Sincere desire to provide guests with the best possible service and experience
- Interest in learning about and preparing local food
- Efficient and safe work practices
