Clyde's Restaurant Group — home to Old Ebbitt Grill, The Hamilton, and 1789 Restaurant — is hiring a Sous Chef at Clyde's of Gallery Place in the heart of Washington, DC. We're steps from Capital One Arena, which means our kitchen runs the full spectrum — steady lunch and dinner service one night, 1,200 covers the next with games and events in the arena. This location demands a kitchen leader who can shift gears fast. Volume at Gallery Place doesn't build gradually — it arrives. We need someone who plans ahead, preps smart, and keeps standards locked in whether the dining room has 50 people or 500. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in a kitchen leadership role — Sous Chef, Executive Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or Kitchen Manager — with high-volume, full-service experience.
You should be:
You'll run a BOH team of line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers — executing service for 500–1,200 guests a day in one of DC's busiest dining corridors.
