System One is partnering with a local client to find a Strategic Sourcing Specialist
A results-driven Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for optimizing supply chain and procurement operations by developing sourcing strategies, negotiating vendor contracts, and improving supplier performance. This role partners with cross-functional teams and leadership to reduce costs, mitigate risk, and ensure timely delivery aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities & Impact
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies that balance demand, supply, cost efficiency, and risk mitigation
- Lead supplier negotiations for pricing, service levels, and contractual terms to drive cost savings and value
- Evaluate vendor capabilities, quotes, and performance to select and maintain high-performing suppliers
- Manage end-to-end supplier relationships, including performance monitoring, quality assurance, and delivery optimization
- Forecast demand and align procurement plans with inventory levels and production needs
- Prepare and manage RFQs to ensure competitive sourcing from approved suppliers
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and operations to meet business and project requirements
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within procurement and supply chain processes
- Monitor and optimize cash flow through strategic purchasing and payment term management
- Utilize contract terms to recover supplier-related costs and protect company interests
