The Sourcer, Mergers, Acquisitions, & Tuck-ins (MAT) will drive Centura Wealth Advisory’s strategy to source, evaluate, and recruit high-quality independent advisors and advisory teams to support our M&A and organic growth initiatives. This role will build and manage a robust pipeline of potential advisor targets, conducting thorough assessments of cultural and operational fit while maintaining relationships that position Centura as an employer of choice within the wealth management industry. The ideal candidate will combine strong sourcing expertise, deep knowledge of advisor economics, and excellent interpersonal skills to identify and attract top talent.

Primary Responsibilities:

Advisor Pipeline and Development Sourcing

  • Build and maintain a comprehensive pipeline of potential advisor recruits, team lift-outs, and tuck-in candidates aligned with Centura's growth strategy and M&A targets.
  • Develop and execute a multi-channel sourcing strategy including networking, industry events, referral partnerships, and proactive outreach to identify high-caliber advisors and teams.
  • Leverage market intelligence, advisor databases, and industry research to identify advisors matching specific criteria (AUM, book characteristics, geographic location, team size, etc.).
  • Conduct initial outreach and qualification calls to assess interest, cultural alignment, and strategic fit prior to formal M&A engagement.

Advisor Evaluation and Assessment

  • Assess potential recruits based on tangible metrics (AUM, fee structure, client profile, growth trends) and qualitative factors (advisor quality, team dynamics, vision alignment).
  • Prepare evaluation summaries and recommendations for the M&A leadership and executive team.
  • Support the M&A team in advisor discovery meetings by providing contextual background and relationship insights.

Relationship Building and Engagement

  • Cultivate and nurture long-term relationships with advisors, creating a talent network of warm prospects for future recruitment efforts.
  • Represent Centura as an attractive, growth-oriented employer; articulate value proposition and career opportunities clearly and persuasively.
  • Manage recruiter-to-advisor touchpoints throughout the lifecycle, maintaining professionalism and transparency.

Market Intelligence and Strategy

  • Stay abreast of advisor movement, industry consolidation trends, and competitive positioning within the RIA landscape.
  • Provide market insights to inform M&A strategy and recruitment priorities.
  • Benchmark Centura's value proposition against competitive firms to enhance recruitment effectiveness.

Administration and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all recruiter activities, pipeline progress, and advisor interactions using internal systems.
  • Provide regular updates and pipeline reports to the M&A leadership and executive team.
  • Support the M&A team with research, materials preparation, and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4–7+ years of experience in advisor recruiting, business development, or sales in the wealth management industry.
  • Demonstrated success building and managing a recruiter pipeline; proven track record of identifying and qualifying high-quality advisor targets.
  • Deep knowledge of the independent wealth management industry, including RIA models, advisor compensation structures, and team dynamics.
  • Strong networking capabilities and established relationships within the RIA and wealth management communities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of M&A dynamics and the acquisition process in the wealth management sector is strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete Centura's hiring process requirements, which include background checks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
