Responsibilities:
Academic & Program Leadership
Ensure academic quality, instructional effectiveness, and student satisfaction
Maintain compliance with all institutional and programmatic accreditation standards
Oversee advisory committee meetings, annual reports, self-studies, and site visits
Monitor and drive completion, licensure, and placement outcomes
Review curriculum and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Recruit, train, supervise, and develop faculty, including conducting classroom observations and delivering performance feedback.
Ensure faculty compliance with professional development and CEU requirements.
Advise, mentor, and support students throughout their academic lifecycle, including orientation, SAP, and graduation.
Foster a respectful, engaging learning environment and represent the program at campus and community events.
Oversee departmental operations, including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and meeting facilitation.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, reporting requirements, and timely completion of surveys.
Qualifications:
Education & Credentials
Bachelor’s degree required; Associate Degree in Medical Sonography required.
Credentialed in at least one specialty aligned with teaching responsibilities (e.g., RDMS – OB/GYN & AB, RDCS-AE, RCIS, RCCS, or RCS).
Experience & Expertise
4+ years of full-time professional experience as a sonographer or vascular technologist.
Background in instructional methodologies, evaluation, and assessment.
Experience in curriculum development and academic program delivery.
