Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Sonographer to join a high-risk OB/GYN practice caring for pregnant patients requiring specialized fetal and maternal care. The ideal candidate will have experience performing advanced obstetrical ultrasound examinations and identifying fetal abnormalities.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) sonography experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• BLS Certification required
• ARDMS certification with OB/GYN specialty required

Required Skills

• Advanced knowledge of fetal abnormalities and prenatal diagnosis
• Proficient in performing and evaluating obstetrical ultrasound examinations
• Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and ability to distinguish normal from abnormal findings
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills
• Basic computer proficiency, including EMR documentation and email

• High-risk obstetrical and pregnancy patients

Patient Ratio

• 1:1

Department Support

• 4 Maternal Fetal Medicine Physicians
• 3 Nurse Practitioners
• 5 Registered Nurses
• 2 Resource Nurses
• 3 Medical Assistants
• 3 Receptionists/HUCs
• 5–6 Sonographers scheduled daily

Equipment & Technology

• EMR: Epic and AS OB/GYN Software
• Ultrasound Equipment: Client Voluson Ultrasound Systems

Facility Information

• Associated with Aurora Sinai Medical Center
• 386-bed facility

Orientation

• Approximately 2 weeks or until competency with workflow is demonstrated
